We are proud to announce that Never Stop Dreaming ran away with a decisive victory at this weekend's North Georgia HT. Ridden by CCI**** rider Michael Pollard for only four days before the event, "Randy" won the Open Intermediate class by over 12 points after finishing on his dressage score of 37.92. His blazing cross country round left him as the only horse in the class to make the time, a clear 25 seconds faster than any other horse in the division. (Even after losing a shoe early on.) Always game, he rebounded this morning to win the class with a double clear show jumping round. Congratulations!

Hidden Hollow Farm has purchased its newest upper level prospect, a 4yo Grey Holsteiner/Thoroughbred cross by the influential Holsteiner stallion Riverman. "Riverwatch" will train this year in preparation for his eventing debut in the spring of 2005. Many thanks to Linda Strine of Versailles, KY, and Anne Hornebeak of Folsom, LA, (both FEI level dressage riders) for helping us find this outstanding young prospect.

Never Stop Dreaming and Megan Moore were named the 2003 Midsouth Eventing and Dressage Association Young Rider Preliminary CT Champions at the year end awards in January. Congratulations to Randy--he did it two years in a row!

Merely Happenstance blazed around the River Glen HT (Area III, TN) Novice Level cross country course to put in the second fastest time of the day. The course was wheeled incredible tightly, with only a single horse in the division going double clean. Joey's double clean XC and stadium courses were impressive enough to help him finish 4th in the Senior Open Novice 1 division.

The newest Hidden Hollow Farm prospect has arrived!! Introducing "Trivial Pursuit" (aka "Mikey"), a 2000 16.0h dark bay TB gelding. He is royally bred by King Of Kings, an Irish TB who won the 1000 Guineas Stakes (among others). He is a grandson of Sadlers Wells, one of the leading TB racehorse sires in Europe. Look for him competing in the spring!!

We are proud to announce that Never Stop Dreaming completed his first three day event, the Midsouth CCI* in Lexington, KY! He was clean on cross country and behaved brilliantly, finishing the course still going strongly. He proved he is a true 3day horse... Now he's shooting for a two star next summer!

The season of training in Georgia has begun! Never Stop Dreaming showed off his new found skills at Pine Top HT (GA) with a 4th place finish in the JYOP division there! He will be headed next to the CCI* in Kentucky!

Kentucky Classic HT was a sucess for Merely Happenstance, as he returned to eventing to debut at Novice level. He was a star, happily jumping around double clean in all phases as if he'd been doing them all his life! Look for him at Bouckaert Farm in Chatsworth, Georgia as he joins rider Megan Moore in training in October!

Our first appearance at River Glen HT in New Market, TN, went off with a splash as our Preliminary level eventer Never Stop Dreaming competed in his fourth event at that level. A strong dressage test left him in 6th after dressage and his clear jumping round (incurring only 4 time penalties around a course that found nearly every rider with at least eight faults) proved that he had really stepped up to the plate after only twelve months of eventing. We turned the speed on for the first time with him at this level and he cruised around double clean on XC--one of only a couple to not incur faults. He brought home the 4th place ribbon for the weekend and is now a Grade III event horse!

Hidden Hollow Farm rider Megan Moore and longtime friend and associate Maggie Mulherin will be spending their fall, winter, and spring as working students at Bouckaert Farm in Chatsworth, GA. The farm is host to the Beaulieu Classic CIC*** each spring and its sister farm in Rome, GA has been chosen as host of the new CCI****. Advanced level riders Carl Bouckaert (Belgium), Natalie Bouckaert, and Michael Pollard are all based at Bouckaert Farm. The 5,000 acres of barns, pastures, and cross country courses combined with the expertise of these three top riders makes the farm an ideal place to advance Moore and Mulherin's training. Each riding will be taking one horse with them... Moore will take Hidden Hollow Farm's Never Stop Dreaming and Mulherin will take Charleston, formerly named Premonition who was purchased off the track and began his eventing career with Hidden Hollow Farm. The two are currently arranging to groom at Bleinheim, Burghly, Radnor, Foxhall, and Rolex.

Just back from the Midsouth PC HT! Never Stop Dreaming (Randy) competed in his second-
ever Preliminary level HT here, with a lovely dressage test and a clear XC round! He
jumped around the challenging course (comprised mainly of combinations!) bravely,
picking up a few time penalties since he is still green at this level, but nevertheless
performing beautifully! Stadium was clear on time with only a single unfortunate rail,
leaving him in 12th place. Beverly Chapman's Mood Indigo (Indy) really stepped up to the plate after being yanked out of the pasture to fill the empty competition slot left by Merely Happenstance's unfortunate injury. Indy, just 7 this year, agreeably flashed
his stylish Appy spots for the dressage judge and putting in a double clear on XC. One
rail in Stadium left him in 8th place, leaving a modest fan club at the horse show, as
always! After all, who can resist that mischevious appy face with those big spots?

We are proud to announce that our Intermediate level event mare, Hail to the Chief, was bred to Windfall on June 4, 2003 and is confirmed in foal. Hail to the Chief is a 16.2h black TB mare with incredible bone structure, heartgirth, and movement. She has schooled 5'3" fences with ease and loves eventing. She ribboned at the North American Young Riders Championships. Windfall is a 16.2h black Trakehner gelding who is currently leading the USEA top event horse rankings. He was the winner of the CCI*** national championships at Foxhall this spring and recently finished second in the National Advanced Championships at Over the Walls HT in Massachussetts. We are eagerly anticipating the resulting foal and have great expectations for such a talented offspring!

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Maggie Mulherin of Columbus,
Ohio, on the purchase of "Premonition". We are looking forward to seeing her compete
him and bring him up through the levels!

A touch of the bizarre met with HHF's Never Stop Dreaming in his second preliminary level outing at Indiana HT, where he was performing a beautiful dressage test. Then, suddenly, he stung himself at the free walk and became completely lame at the walk. Waving herself out of the ring and dismounting concerned, rider Megan Moore found (once outside of the ring) that he hadn't injured himself. Suddenly, the stinger went away and Randy walked back to the barn, happy and sound as ever! Thus, he didn't get to run at his second prelim... Not too discouraging, though, as this promising young horse has a brilliant future ahead of him! Look for him next at Midsouth PC HT! Premonition, HHF's second competitor for the weekend, proved himself yet again by being all class at his second event! The dressage judge adored him, with an "8" on gaits and "8" on rider. Her verbal coments were "What a delightful horse!" and written comments were "I am looking forward to seeing this bright young horse again!" He then ran double clean on XC. This horse has a real future ahead of him!!

Mayfest HT 2003 is now a thing of the past! Hidden Hollow horses pleased us with a sucessful first Preliminary event for "Never Stop Dreaming" and a debut in eventing as well as his first novice event for "Premonition". Following farm policy, both horses moved up by galloping xc without concern for time, thus they racked up several time faults. (We believe that it is more important to give a horse a positive school for the first time out than win a ribbon--it makes for a happier event horse years down the line for both us and our customers!) Both horses ran brilliantly, without a single XC jump fault! Look for both talented horses next weekend at Indiana HT!

The second stop on the 2003 eventing roster for Hidden Hollow Farm was the Sayre School
Combined Tests in Lexington, Kentucky. HHF put in a strong showing with two of its
horses each ribboning in their classes. Never Stop Dreaming placed 2nd in the Open
Preliminary level class with only one time fault added to his dressage score. Premonition placed 6th in his FIRST SHOW EVER in his Novice level CT with only one rail and three time faults! Both horses have a bright season ahead of them and look forward to their horse trial debuts at these levels at Mayfest HT in two weeks!
April 13, 2003

Congratulations to all!

There, she will train with FEI dressage rider Linda Strine. Megan will continue teaching lessons, training horses, and competing in Louisiana. At yet another trip to the track, Hidden Hollow Farm purched the racehorse "Color Me Bay"
(Turn-To Lines) on January 6, 2003, from Connersville, Indiana, trainer Larry Dragoo. Renamed "Merely Happenstance" (or "Joey" for short), he will begin his eventing career along with "Premonition" in May of 2003.
October 23, 2002
Hidden Hollow Farm would like to congratulate Donna Byers of Franktown, Colorado, on the purchase of "Against All Odds," a 17.0h 8yo Trakehner Gelding. "Odie" made a name for himself in dressage, recieving a 70% at Training Level at his first show with Hidden Hollow. We are confident that he will continue his winning tradition with Ms. Byers, and wish her the best of luck with this gem of a horse!
August 2, 2002
Hidden Hollow purchased the racehorse "Negev's Pride" (Never Bend lines) from the Thistledown Racetrack in Cleveland, OH, after a mildly sucessful racing career featuring over 15 starts. Renamed "Premonition" (or "Charlie" for short), he will begin his show career with Hidden Hollow in May of 2003. Stay tuned!
